Dale Lofts

The Dale Lofts, formerly known as the Hotel Dale, was built in 1950. The hotel was the culmination of a five year community effort to construct a hotel in the downtown core of Guymon. Individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Modern Movement styled hotel is significant for its association with local community planning and development, as it was built to accommodate the increased attendance at the city's annual Pioneer Days Festival.

PandDStudio conducted a window by window survey to record the condition of each of the nearly 450 windows and prepared side-by-side detail drawings of the original windows with proposed, historically appropriate replacements, which were approved by the SHPO and the NPS. The Studio also provided design and historic preservation consulting services including preservation tax credit application preparation and management.

Dale Lofts is the first certified rehabilitation project in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Overall, the 50,000 square foot building provides 33 family affordable apartments, amenity spaces, and ground level commercial space in use as a popular local restaurant. The project received the State Historic Preservation Officer's Citation of Merit.
